Sonos released its fiscal 2021 second-quarter earnings on April 3, 2021. During the first six months of the fiscal year, the company's GAAP net income rose to $149.5million from $18.5million the previous year. Revenue for the first six months was $978.5 million, a 33% increase over the same period last year. There was a net loss of $47.15 million in free cash flow (FCF).

Patrick Spence, the CEO, stated that his business had its most excellent first quarter in 18 years despite the pandemic's hurdles. There were a record number of new customers and new customers returning to add things to their systems," Spence said.

Sonos' Next Steps

Among its competitors are Bose and Sony, which have products similar to those of Sonos. The speaker and home audio industries are pretty competitive. Even more so, Sonos will have to keep up with developments in intelligent assistants and speech recognition in the sector. Its declared purpose?
